As a former endurance athlete, training and competing for 30 plus years, I tried almost every energy and recovery bar on the market for peak performance and optimal recovery. Never truly being satisfied with what I ate and experienced, I was inspired to create a bite sized snack that would properly fuel me before, during, and after workouts and competitions. Through my experiences, I discovered that eating balanced meals of 50% carbohydrate, 25% protein, and 25% healthy fat sustained my energy without crashing and helped me recovery faster throughout the day.
